Supporting local communities and jobs

We are a strong supporter of local communities and economies.

We employ over 1,500 permanent employees and help to foster local small to medium businesses in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines through industry education and support programs.

We have an extensive network of distributors located throughout Southeast Asia, as well as suppliers to hundreds of small businesses which create the backbone of these local communities.

Each of the business units is actively involved in supporting their local communities through flour donations, blood donation, stunting prevention program, beach clean-ups and more.

Labor & human rights

Promoting labor and human rights within our company is a cornerstone of our sustainability efforts, ensuring ethical practices, enhancing employee well-being, and contributing to a positive social impact.

Recruitment and remuneration practices are conducted in a fair and transparent manner and employees are encouraged to report unethical behaviour.

Our Code of Conduct outlines the high stand of behaviour we expect from our employees and that they should expect from the business in return.

Employee health & well-being

Protecting our people

We care about our people, their safety and well-being
At Interflour, we prioritize the health and well-being of our employees as a core aspect of our operations.

“Safe by choice”
Our Occupational Health and Safety Masterplan is designed to foster a safe and supportive work environment and promotes a proactive safety mindset across all levels of our organization. We are committed to continuous improvement through proactive risk management, regular safety training, and a culture of care that empowers every team member to prioritize their health and well-being.

Developing our people

The key success of Interflour depends on our people and we aim to build a professional and dynamic work environment where our people can grow.

Each employee has a unique career development path that matches their competencies, expertise and career goals.

Our employees get the opportunity to participate in training courses to help develop and sharpen their skills and knowledge to meet the requirements and challenges of the job.

Consumer health & well-being

Food safety

We aim to consistently deliver excellent products and to support our customers’ needs through:

- The implementation of a world class Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) program from wheat sourcing to flour production
- Adopting a continuous improvement mindset and
- Data-driven decision making.

Years of experience and advanced knowledge in wheat quality and origin allows us to source the right quality wheat to produce consistent flour quality.

Healthy eating & lifestyles

Flour has a relatively low carbon footprint compared to a lot of other food products. We are promoting flour as part of a sustainable diet by organizing baking workshops and sharing sustainable recipes. For recipes go to Our recipes page.

Food safety certifications

Across our business we follow globally recognised quality management systems to ensure we consistently supply our customers with safe food ingredients. We also guarantee purity and halal certification in accordance with Islamic principles. All ingredients used are screened on Halal approved. The production of all flour is conducted in a clean and certified Halal condition.

Our mills are certified with ISO22000, HACCP, ISO9001, GMP, Halal and Kosher certification. Interflour Group has reached another very important milestone – the FSSC22000 certification of all our flour mills. With that, we will be one of the only millers in our region to have all our mills FSSC certified, underlining our strong commitment in food safety and providing safe products to our customers.

Environmental footprint

Minimizing our environmental footprint

We care about the planet, and we are doing our part to protect it.

From reducing our energy usage with our energy savings plan to implementing alternative sources of power, to managing waste effectively by reducing, reusing or recycling our waste.

From looking into responsible sourcing to using more sustainable packaging, we are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment.
